The Canon C300 has been our most popular and beloved camera rental for the past 3 years. Now, Canon has released it’s successor, the C300 Mark II. We started receiving ours last week, and our now officially renting the Canon C300 Mark II.
In case you aren’t familiar with what’s new on the C300 Mark II, we made a quick video going over the highlights.
As Josh says in the video, the biggest difference is the ability to shoot 4K . Higher frame rates are also now possible, up to 120fps in 2K or HD.
The camera will now use CFast cards instead of CF cards to handle the new data rate. It uses new batteries as well, BPA-30 & BPA-60. These batteries are more expensive, $300 and $500 each. Something to keep in mind if you are a shooter who is upgrading.
What’s you’re reaction to the C300 Mark II? If you own an original, will you be upgrading?
