The Sony FS7 has a new firmware update (2.0) coming this month with exciting new ProRes & DCI 4K Support features.
Here’s the full list of what the FS7 firmware 2.0 will include:
1. DCI compliant 4096 x 2160 XAVC-Intra-frame recording up to 60 fps.
2. HD Apple ProRes codecs to enable progressive and interlaced HQ and 422 recordings.
3. Expanded audio recording to four channels audio at 24-bit, 48 kHz.
4. Will now retain “Paint Menu” settings after being turned off
