This new Kessler CineShooter is an amazing, fully programmable, motion control/time lapse/stop motion solution. It is capable of handling cameras up 25lbs such as Alexa, Alexa Mini, Amira, RED DSMCII/Komodo, URSA Mini Pro, FX9, C300/500, etc, or anything smaller. High precision motors control 5 axis – the slider, pan, tilt, focus and iris/zoom, making it effective for almost any shot. It is WIFI enabled and be can be controlled via a phone, iPad or laptop using Kessler’s KOS motion control software. Moves can be programmed with up to 10 keyframes. An included Playstation 4 Controller can also be used to control the rig via an iPhone. Moves can be controlled manually during live action, or programed and run one once or continuously on a loop. The CineShooter system can run off the included V-Mount batteries, or be plugged into A/C power.

We have the Cineped 2.0 3.5ft Rotating Slider with Quattro Legs available for rent at Stray Angel Films.

The Cineped 2.0 is the newest version of the Cineped.  Both the Quattro Legs and Cineped 2.0 have been redeveloped so be just as sturdy as previous model, but weigh considerably less.

The Cineped 2.0 Rotating Slider is a 42″ long slider that provides 36″ of smooth, quiet camera movement for anything from a DSLR video camera to a pair of full-sized cameras that are matched for shooting stereoscopic 3D.  With a load capacity of 140 lb, there’s virtually no limit to the types of rig you’re able to move with the Cineped 2.0 slider.

Left-to-right tracking is only one of many moves you can execute with the Cineped.  Front-to-back movement is also possible – combine that with lens zooms and you can achieve Hitchcock’s “Vertigo effect” (on a small scale, anyway). Unlike traditional sliders, the Cineped Rotating Slider rotates a full 360° at the connection to the tripod, so swing, arc, and circular camera moves are also possible. You can also execute compound moves; the combinations are limited only by your imagination.

The slider has a Mitchell base for the attachment of the Quattro Legs underneath, and above the track a base for a corresponding Mitchell-compatible head.  The Cineped 2.0 Rotating Slider includes a hard case with foam that is custom-cut for the slider.
