Canon 70D Announced with Continuous Auto-Focus

Canon has just announced the new Canon EOS 70D. The 70D is the newest camera in the  Canon APS-C sensor line. Canon is using the most overused phrase in the world, “game changer”, to describe the camera because it has Dual Pixel CMOS AF. This supposedly allows the camera to have smooth, continuous auto-focus even when shooting in movie mode!

The Canon 70D Specs are as follows:

  • 20.2mp CMOS Sensor
  • DIGIC 5+
  • 19pt AF System (All Cross Type)
  • 7fps
  • Built-in WiFi
  • 3″ Vari-Angle Touch Screen LCD
  • ISO 12,800 Maximum
  • Dual Pixel CMOS Autofocus
  • Full HD Video
  • HDR

  • LP-E6 Battery

The Canon 70D is available to pre-order right now through B&H.
