DJI first made filmmakers fall in love with the company with the release of their affordable Phantom Drone. Then they gave us the DJI Ronin, a much more budget-friendly alternative to the MoVI M10 stabilizer. Now, they’ve done it again with their 4K pistol-grip DJI Osmo 3-axis stabilizer.
The introduction video below for the Osmo is a great overview of the product and also includes some footage from their Zenmuse X3 camera.
Other than just being able to run around with a 4K camera and get super stable video with a device you can hold with one hand, the Osmo also offers other cool features like auto 360° panoramic photos, long exposure photos, and timelapse.
Here are the current specs for DJI’s Osmo Stabilzer with Zenmuse X3 camera:
- 1/2.3″ CMOS Sensor
- 4K (4096 x 2160) Video at 24 or 25p
- 120 fps Full HD Video for Slow-Motion
- 12MP JPEG or DNG RAW Sill Photos
- Handle with Camera and Gimbal Controls
- Wi-Fi For Monitoring / Remote Operation
