This year at CES 4K has been pushed hard to consumers through tons of new 4K displays, and even Sony’s new 4K handycam. Not to be left out of the 4K race, Panasonic unveiled more details about its previously announced mirrorless GH 4K camera. While full specs haven’t been released we got some exciting news about the price point and an anticipated ship date.
Here are the 4K GH tech specs that Panasonic gave Engadget:
- UHD content can be recorded at 200 Mbps
- Output in a full live feed via a mini-HDMI port to display on a computer or record to a hard drive
- Footage can be dumped straight to an SDXC
- Micro 4/3 mount
The camera is supposed to be available this February, and is rumored to have a price point of $2,000 or even less. That’s pretty exciting as it would make it the most affordable 4K camera out there.
Wonder if all the news of this budget-friendly 4K GH camera is making Blackmagic nervous, since their 4K camera was due to be released over four months ago and still hasn’t been seen?
